French braid is a nice and classic hairstyle, it may be complicated but if you follow thes following steps you be on your way to doing it in no time.

  1. Prep your hair. brush your hair to remove all the tangles.

2. Section your hair. Take a chunk of your hair from the top center. approximately 3-4 inches wide.

 3. Separate the section into strands. Its similar to a regular braid, you will need 3 strands. Separate them by running your fingers in the chunk your holding and make 3 even strands. make sure all 3 strands are the same size.

4. Begin to braid. Take your 3 stands so that two stands are held in one hand, and the other stand is held in one hand. create a row of regular braid by taking the strand on the right and crossing it over the center. then take strand from left and cross it over center.

 5. Incorporate all of your hair into the braid. you will notice free-hanging hair strands. by the time you get to your neck. all the extra hair should be into the braid.

6. Finish the braid. Continue braiding until you reach the end of your strands, then finish the braid with a pony tail. avoid using rubber bands as these rip and break the hair when you try to remove them.
